Portal Solutions, LLC seeks a SharePoint UI Designer/Developer for its Rockville, Maryland office. We are a managed Microsoft Certified Partner specializing in Microsoft SharePoint technologies, based in Rockville, MD. The successful candidate will consult with clients to define needs, conceptualize and prototype UI models and then collaboratively work with our SharePoint consultants to implement solutions. Fundamental requirements include:

• Familiarity with CMS systems and concepts
• Knowledge of site layout and design principles
• Knowledge of user experience best practices
• Advanced HTML and XHTML is a must (especially with SP2010 moving to XHTML compliance)
• Advanced CSS, including cross browser support, layering, and positioning using floating DIVS
• JQUERY is a strong requirement
• Silverlight and Flash is advantageous for interactive sites
• XML and XML query is a must-have for any UI that interacts with SharePoint
• Understanding of SharePoint publishing infrastructure is higly desired

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S., B.A.) required
• Three to five years related experience and/or training
• Consulting experience is a plus
• Experience using or architecting solutions using Microsoft SharePoint Technologies, SharePoint Portal Server 2003, MOSS or Windows SharePoint Services v2 and v3, understanding of SharePoint architecture is a plus
• Experience with .NET Framework 2.0

Salary commensurate to experience

Local travel may be required in the Washington, DC and Baltimore metro area.
