Rockville, Md., [August 9, 2010] Portal Solutions today announced the addition of two new senior staff members, Joan Muschamp, Director of Marketing and Rick Hinton, Managing Director, Business Intelligence. The staff additions are designed to strategically position Portal Solutions to continue its growth and strengthen its position as a leading provider of SharePoint services.
Joan Muschamp joins Portal Solutions with a strong SharePoint marketing background, and over 30 years marketing experience. Her marketing background includes over five years experience in marketing and business development with Applied Knowledge Group, a SharePoint services company specializing in the federal sector. She will be focused on creating a strategic marketing plan to accelerate Portal Solutions’ growth and entry into related markets. A key facet of her experience is her understanding and ability to effectively market using digital and social media.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, she holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing. Rick Hinton brings over fifteen years of experience working with financial institutions, federal government agencies, and technology firms helping these organizations use collaborative technologies and analytics to enable informed decisions at the individual and organizational level. Prior to joining Portal Solutions, Rick was director of analytic solutions for Synteractive Corporation where he was instrumental in designing award-winning business intelligence solutions and securing a multimillion dollar enterprise collaboration and analytics contract with a major federal agency.
He received a Masters of Business Administration degree from the George Washington University and a Bachelors degree in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland. Rick has appeared on the CBS Evening News, the Kojo Nnamdi Show on NPR and in publications such as National Journal, Washington Business Journal, Slate.com and the Daily Record. “Rick understands the elements of a successful Business Intelligence practice, and has the industry experience and contacts to leverage for Portal Solutions to add this competency. His strategic vision, in-depth knowledge of financial, government and technology markets, and hand-on approach will position Portal Solutions well to become a respected Business Intelligence solution provider, remarked CEO Cohen-Dumani.”
