Portal Solutions Again Named to Washingtonian Best Places to Work List

Rockville, Md., [October 20, 2011] The November 2011 issue of Washingtonian magazine contains its bi-annual listing of the Washington D.C. area’s 50 Best Places to Work, and Portal Solutions again has made the list. This year's 50 winning workplaces were chosen on the basis of such measures as generous pay and benefits, challenging and interesting work, great work/life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, financial stability, commitment to charity and community, and the recognition and respect given to employees. Winners were chosen after a panel of editors and writers reviewed more than 200 companies and some 13,000 employee surveys. The final determinations relied heavily on the scores given by a company's employees, which is truly a measure of a good work environment.
Portal Solutions’ CEO Daniel Cohen-Dumani noted “I am very pleased and excited that we again earned a spot on this recognized list. A key element in our company philosophy is to treat our employees as family and recognize their contributions. Since employee feedback is so heavily weighted as part of the evaluation process, I am honored they feel strongly enough to participate in the survey.”

The list has been released every two years beginning in 1999, and is a familiar institution in the D.C. Metro area. Winners are from a cross section of business sizes, ranging from 11 employees to more than 68,000. They also are across a variety of industries including trade associations, information technology firms, government agencies, and more. Employee participation is open to all employees in a firm and all replies are confidential, so employees are free to express opinions.
