ASHA, Fraunhofer, The Shelter Group and ACDI/VOCA engage Portal Solutions as the leader in SharePoint services

ROCKVILLE, MD, May 18, 2010—Portal Solutions, the leader in SharePoint-based technology solutions, announced today that it has been awarded several new account contracts.  The company will now provide Knowledge Management solutions for American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); Fraunhofer Center for Experimental Software Engineering (CESE), an affiliate of the University of Maryland and one of six Fraunhofer USA non-profit, applied research centers; The Shelter Group, a real estate development and property management company specializing in multi-family and senior living rental communities in the Mid-Atlantic and New England; and ACDI/VOCA, an international non-profit  group focused on promoting economic opportunities for poor people, communities and businesses in emerging economies through the innovative use of sound business practices.

ASHA—Portal Solutions will perform an assessment on options and consideration points for the migration of ASHA’s current SharePoint 2007 Intranet and Extranet solutions to SharePoint 2010.  The migration to SharePoint 2010 will enable ASHA to maximize the new benefits offered by this platform, including search capabilities, document management, records management and social media enablement.

Fraunhofer—Portal Solutions will develop a one-stop Intranet portal for Fraunhofer staff to better manage, upload and utilize information so the organization can continue to advance its state-of-the-art software development and research.  Portal Solutions will design, build and deploy the web portal, which will ultimately improve document management, enhance search capabilities and organize information for better efficiency.

The Shelter Group—Portal Solutions will implement an Intranet portal on SharePoint 2010 to enhance The Shelter Group’s organizational efficiency, team collaboration and corporate knowledge sharing.  This will allow The Shelter Group, which has acquired a number of companies in the past few years, to better connect people, information and family businesses for the advancement of its mission.

ACDI/VOCA—Portal Solutions will assist ACDI/VOCA’s geographically dispersed staff in better serving their clients around the world through the implementation of an Intranet portal on SharePoint 2010.  This web portal will support the organization’s online document management, collaboration and information sharing.
