Rockville, MD (October 1, 2006) – Portal Solutions, the leader in helping organizations achieve superior business value from Microsoft SharePoint, announced today that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) has participated in SharePoint 2007 beta testing, as part of the Microsoft's Technology Adoption Program (TAP) for Office 2007. The CFF beta tested Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services V3, which Microsoft will be releasing in early 2007. Portal Solutions worked with the CFF through the TAP process.
Greg August, CIO at the CFF, said, “Portal Solutions took our requirements and sculpted a solution that was ideal for what our business needed. They understand SharePoint as well as anyone, which I can’t overemphasize enough.”
Portal Solutions consultants and developers worked with the CFF to help the Foundation envision, develop and architect a project and opportunity management system that would help them manage grants as well as manage drug research initiatives. The CFF has many initiatives underway to combat cystic fibrosis.
“Portal Solutions was very dedicated and knowledgeable and had total confidence in demonstrating the product. They owned the SharePoint application end to end and nailed the user registration piece,” said August.
Daniel Cohen-Dumani, CEO at Portal Solutions, said, “The CFF was a great partner to work with during the TAP process. What they needed to do fit in perfectly with the feature set offered by SharePoint. They wanted project management and opportunity management to develop a system for SharePoint developers. We were able to help them launch and optimize the management of funding opportunities and management of drug research.”
