Portal Solutions Wins Microsoft Mid Atlantic Partner Award

Rockville, MD (June 14, 2006) – Portal Solutions, the leader in helping organizations achieve superior business value from Microsoft SharePoint, announced that it has won a significant award from the Microsoft Mid-Atlantic sales division. Microsoft recognized Portal Solutions along with a handful of other top partners as part of its U.S. Field Partner Awards Program in the Mid Atlantic Area, consisting of D.C., Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. This program, held quarterly, recognizes the contributions of partners serving small, mid-market and enterprise commercial customers.

Reed Overfelt, Mid Atlantic Area general manager for Microsoft’s Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) Group, said, “Our team realizes the value of our partners and believes these organizations should be acknowledged for their great contributions and achievements over the past quarter. In the third quarter, partners were recognized across seven individual categories: Teamwork; Satisfaction & Experience; Loyalty; Compete; Marketing Excellence; Competency; and Mid Atlantic Top Partner Award. Category winners will also be entered into the annual Regional Awards program, presented this July at the World-Wide Partner Conference in Boston. Winners for the Mid Atlantic area are as follows.

Portal Solutions was recognized in the Compete category. The Compete award recognizes key competitive wins achieved by partners who secure tough competitive opportunities. Portal Solutions structured a phased migration strategy for their customer, including migrating the various Lotus Notes databases and intranet to Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003, upgrading their Office suite to Office 2003 and enrolling them in Open Value to facilitate license management.
